Concord’s senior management team has a range of engineering, business and trade qualifications. They are experienced in all aspects of modern, successful, management practices and foster a philosophy of partnering with the principal to achieve satisfactory results for all parties concerned.
Key Personnel
Peter Schnell - CEO / Electrical Managing Director
Peter has a vast amount of experience with project management of large and small projects of varying complexity with New Zealand and the Pacific and has an excellent track record with regard to on time on budget delivery.
Peter provides a strong focus on good communications and the establishment of clear goals and objectives to ensure all the stakeholders objectives and KPI requirements are fully achieved. Peter prides himself on providing solutions not problems and on being easy to deal with.
Relevant completed projects include:
- Nga Awa Purua 140MW geothermal power station (Taupo NZ)
- Kinoya Power Station 3 x 7.5MW diesel gensets including all site power and lighting (Suva Fiji)
- Nadi airport runway lighting upgrade (Nadi Fiji)
- Affco Horotiu new meat processing plant (Horotiu, Hamilton NZ)
- ARTNL office fit out (Britomart Auckland NZ)
Brian Fleming - Director / Security Managing Director
Starting his career as part of a professional firm of chartered accountants, Brian completed his articles under the Public and Auditors Board in South Africa and qualified with a Bachelor of Accounting Sciences (B Compt) degree from the University of South Africa.
Brian then joined a group of civil, structural and agricultural engineers primarily involved in finance, project management and productivity management. Thereafter he was part of the management of a large wholesale hardware / plumbing wholesale distribution group of companies which led to experience in warehousing and distribution before moving to New Zealand in the late 1990’s.
In New Zealand Brian has been part of the administrative, export / forex, financial and commercial aspects of companies within the meat industry including being part of the team establishing a value added meat retail processing and packaging plant and the related participation in market awareness and distribution of the finished product within the FMCG industry.
Over the past number of years Brian has been actively involved together with Peter in being part of the electrical, security and communications industries covering varying degrees of participation in New Zealand, Australia and the further Pacific.
Nick Natusch - Communications General Manager
Nick is actively involved with telecommunications and has gained significant experience throughout the Pacific region through his work with Digicel, the largest mobile service provider in the Pacific Islands, Bemobile and Telecom New Zealand.
Nick was responsible for the retail standards, designs, fixture procurement and driving down costs to build for both Digicel and Bemobile in the Pacific.
In Fiji, Nick project managed the construction, design and installation of over 135 points of presence in the retail channel including 13 flagship stores, dealer and village stores, successfully for launch of the network on time and to budget.
Since this project Nick has delivered new Flagship stores in Tonga, Samoa, Nauru and most recently Solomon’s.
He spent 18 months based in Papua New Guinea where he was responsible for raising store standards, through redesign of the retail stores, fixtures and points of presence selection to maximize return on investments.
Glen Ramsay - ICT General Manager
Glen has been involved in Telecommunications since 1970.
Glen has served in all spheres of the industry and has held positions across the board from technician, sales representative, marketing director and managing director, until he had his own company, Teleboss in South Africa. Teleboss had a staff complement of 140 people as well as a dealer network of 22 dealers in 5 countries, in all over 400 people were actively involved in R&D, manufacturing, selling, installing and servicing the Teleboss products.
Glen has been in New Zealand since July 2006. He and his partner sold their company, Cytek Communications to Concord.
The function of Concord ICT within the group is to provide communications and IT solutions to the companies within the group as well as too the other Concord companies customers.
Shelley Wragg - Financial Controller
Shelley Wragg has been employed by Concord Electrical Ltd since June 1988.
When she commenced with the company, as the Office Manager, it was only Hamilton based and had a staff of 35. Her position now as Financial Controller encompasses six companies, four branches.
Shelley has four administration staff assisting her in the day to day running of these companies.
Prior to joining Concord, Shelley spent eight years as the Finance Manager for the New Zealand National Fielday’s Society, based at Mystery Creek in Hamilton. In this role she managed all the financial processes required to run the NZ Agricultural Fielday’s.
While employed there, Shelley completed a number of Accountancy papers at WINTEC
Among others she also worked at Farmers Auctioneering Co and Hamilton Wine & Spirits
